Rediscover Your Alma Mater

Upholding the belief of knowledge is power, the University has been producing educational programmes and broadcasting on public channels to share knowledge with all citizens since its establishment as Open Learning Institute in 1989. There was not much experience for the Institute to produce a TV programme back then, and therefore it collaborated with the RTHK to produce the first series of programme World of Learning. The programme covered the arts, mathematics and science foundation courses which gathered information from The Open University of the UK. In 2015, the University launched a new series of programme Open For Learning and included the 'Great Speakers Series' which invited scholars and experts to speak on various topics. Later, the programme appeared as Knowledge for All and the new series has just been launched and broadcast on TVB Pearl.
