Upholding the belief in ‘Education for All’ , the HKMU established the ‘Student Assistance Fund’ in 1992 under the auspices of philanthropists, charities, businesses and professional bodies to ensure no aspiring learner will be deprived of the opportunity for higher education due to financial limitations.
The HKMU Student Financial Assistance Scheme was established to offer bursaries and loans to students facing financial difficulties in paying tuition fees. Since the scheme’s inception, it has benefited over 37,000 students, providing more than $510 million in financial assistance.
