Student Affairs Office Financial Assistance Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS)
The Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) is administered by the Student Finance Office (SFO) under the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA). ENLS provides non-means-tested loan(s) to eligible students to settle tuition fees.
 

Application Period for 2024 Summer Term
25 Mar – 26 Jul 2024
(If applicants submit applications before 12 Apr 2024, they do not have to settle the tuition fees themselves and the loan amount will be directly credited to HKMU)

Application Period for 2024 Spring Term
01 Nov 2023 – 01 Mar 2024
(If applicants submit applications before 01 Dec 2023, they do not have to settle the tuition fees themselves and the loan amount will be directly credited to HKMU)

  1. Applicants are pursuing specific post-secondary / continuing and professional education courses studied in Hong Kong and please refer to the Register of Eligible Course under the ENLS; and
  2. Applicants should have the right of abode in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Hong Kong") or have resided or have had their homes in Hong Kong continuously for three complete years prior to the commencement of the programme / course. Students of the Hong Kong of Metropolitan University (HKMU) should read the Application Guidance Notes [ENLS 140(2023)] if they wish to apply for the ENLS loans. They should also refer to the Supplementary Application Guidance Notes of the term concerned [ENLS 202(SUM2024) (for 2024 Summer Term)]  and [ENLS 202(SPR2024) (for 2024 Spring Term)]

Direct credit of tuition 

  1. Applicants please complete and submit online application for ENLS through "SFO E-link – My Applications".
  2. Applicants must have completed the course registration for 2024 Summer Term (check the courses on offer in this term). Enquiries of the course registration should be made to the Admissions & Enrolment Office (Part-time & Postgraduate) of the Registry.
  3. After receiving the tuition fee debit note(s), applicants should submit the ENLS application to the Government SFO as soon as possible but not later than the payment deadline printed on the debit notes(s). Applicants are required to inform HKMU immediately after the submission of ENLS application so that the place(s) in the course(s) (not the specific class section) can be secured until the ENLS loan is approved and released.

Direct credit to Applicants' bank account:

  1. Applicants should have already paid the tuition fees for the term concerned.
  2. Applicants please complete and submit online application for ENLS through "SFO E-link – My Applications".
  3. Applicants should submit the completed ENLS application and related documents together with the original tuition fee receipt(s) to the Government SFO on or before the application deadline.
