  • Board Game Day – Astronaut Training Day

The “SEN Me Your Love Programme” aims to demonstrate a commitment to supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) who live in subdivided flats and provide respite for their parents. Following the interview sessions, a total of 23 students were selected as programme volunteers, these student volunteers actively participated in the “Communication Skills Workshop with SEN Children.” This workshop provided students with valuable insights into common challenges experienced by families with SEN children and offered communication techniques to equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge to better serve SEN families in the future.

HKMU SEN Me Your Love Programme 2023/2024 – The “Bridge Builders” and “Board Game Day – Astronaut Training Day” activities have been successfully organized in November. During these activities, 23 student volunteers provided guidance and assistance to 17 children with special educational needs (SEN) in accomplishing their tasks.

This programme aims to provide diverse experiences, including creating chalkboard drawings, competitive games, group activities, and board games. These activities were designed to enhance the coordination and concentration abilities of SEN children, emphasize the importance of teamwork, and enable them to express their feelings through various activities. The student volunteers also designed different ice-breaking games, which helped them understand the characteristics and needs of the SEN children, while improving their communication skills and event planning abilities through interaction.
