Four accounting students were awarded in the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) Qualification Programme (QP): Lau Tsz-ki received the Silver Award (BDO Prize) of the QP Capstone Examination (December 2021 Session); Lam Chak-man was awarded the QP Scholarship 2022; and Jiang Yurong and Pang Ling-lung were granted the HKICPA Scholarship 2021–22. Meanwhile, Maisy Ng Hoi-lam, graduate of the Professional Accounting programme, received the CPA Australia Distinction Award and scholarship for her excellence in academic performance.
Two business students were recognised for their contribution to society: Chui Shing-hang was selected as one of the 20 recipients of the 31st Hong Kong Outstanding Service Award for Tertiary Students, while Chong Ling-hei received an Award for Excellence in the Citi-HKCSS Community Intern Program 2022.
To recognise new students with outstanding performance, a Welcoming Ceremony for Entrance Scholarships Recipients was held by the University on 28 September 2022 with 103 new students awarded the scholarships.
MA in Creative Writing student Xu Xiaomin and MA in Bilingual Professional Translation student Yan Yuzhu received Recommendation Awards (Fiction) in the Tertiary Education group at the City Literary Awards 2022 with their respective novels.
Zhuang Shiyi, student of the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Chinese programme, participated in the 32nd Chinese Poetry Writing Competition (Chi Writing) held by the Hong Kong Public Libraries, and won the Special Prize under the student category.
E&L students attained several awards in the Hong Kong Youth Public Speaking Competition organised by Student Elites — Fung Wing-lam won the second runner-up, while Lam Hoi-ching attained the Outstanding Performance Award. Kan Yu-hin and Wen Pian both received a Merit Award.
