Global Immersion Programme
opens up business horizons

Entering into the post-pandemic era, life is gradually back to normal. The overseas study tours organised by the Global Immersion Programme (GIP) of the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration have resumed after a two-year suspension. In November 2022, postgraduate students headed to Australia for a two-week study tour. During that time, they attended lectures on various business topics at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), exchanged views with university students, and visited attractions in the city, which broadened their business horizons.

Apart from providing opportunities of overseas exchange, GIP provides intercultural awareness and language training, as well as leadership workshops designated for undergraduates and postgraduates to deepen their global business knowledge and benefit their future career development. Coping with the challenge that overseas study tours were not feasible during the pandemic, GIP offered students eight seven-day 'Learn and Experience' local study tours between August and September 2022, and January 2023, with France, Spain and Italy as themes. Students gained similar experiences to what they could have learnt on overseas tours, including studying the language and traditions of the country and exploring its business environment with business leaders.
