Research capability further recognised

HKMU once again achieved pleasing results in the latest round of the Research Grants Council (RGC)'s Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector. This year, the University has been granted research funding of over HK$13 million for projects under the Faculty Development Scheme (FDS), the highest among self-financing institutions for the FDS projects, covering research fields such as literature, community, environment and network technology. Among them, a total of seven projects have received funding of over HK$1 million, ranking first among self-financing institutions for three consecutive years. One of the projects studying environmental issues has been granted nearly HK$1.72 million, which is the largest funding among the FDS projects.
