HKMU receives HK$4 million donation from Tin Ka Ping Foundation to support inmate students and promote Chinese culture

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) has received a generous donation of HK$4 million from Tin Ka Ping Foundation (the Foundation) to continue supporting the “Tin Ka Ping Foundation Bursary” for inmates pursuing further education. The donation will also promote the future development of the “Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture” (TKPCCC). This donation aims to further advance education for inmates while fostering the integration of traditional culture and modern technology, thereby contributing to the inheritance of Chinese culture. It marks the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the TKPCCC....

HKMU launches the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature & the “Beyond Distance: Half a Lifelong Friendship of Eileen Chang, Stephen Soong, and Mae Fong Soong” Exhibition — A new chapter in literary heritage with free public guided tours by appointment

Today, 20 November, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) launched the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature (“the Museum”), located in its campus library, and presented the inaugural exhibition “Beyond Distance: Half a Lifelong Friendship of Eileen Chang, Stephen Soong, and Mae Fong Soong”. The exhibition features more than 120 precious manuscripts and relics from renowned Chinese writer Eileen Chang and her close friends, Stephen Soong and Mae Fong Soong. The museum is now open to the public, offering free guided tours by appointment. This marks a significant milestone for HKMU in the research and preservation of modern Chinese literature and demonstrates the University's steadfast commitment to safeguarding Chinese cultural heritage....

HKMU launches two new programmes for nurturing professionals and a “Minor in Global Studies” to expand students' international experience

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) will launch two new programmes in the 2026/27 academic year: a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Diagnostic Radiography and a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours in Robotics and Automation Engineering. Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) held a flag-raising ceremony on campus this morning to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
