工業培訓

工業培訓是電子和電腦工程二年級學生的必修課。它強調補充該計劃其他課程所涵蓋的理論的實踐經驗。

學生需要在第一個夏季學期參加電子實驗室和電腦實驗室的140小時內部實踐培訓。培訓課程涵蓋工業安全、電子測試方法、構建電子電路、印刷電路板 (PCB) 的設計和製造、微控制器應用、虛擬儀器、產品原型、電腦輔助設計和製造 (CAD / CAM) 以及電腦網路設置等主題。

安全培訓

工作場所可能非常危險,尤其是對於電子和電腦工程師而言。因為他們每天都需要處理各種機器。不當行為或安全意識低下會導致事故,並導致無法彌補的傷害。

在工業培訓方面,我們為學生提供安全培訓。告訴他們工作場所健康和安全對工人和公眾的重要性,導致危害的關鍵因素,他們需要遵守的安全法律和標準,以及他們應該採取的安全措施,以防止工作中的危險。

課程結束后,學生應瞭解工程實踐的基本職業健康和工業安全要求。

電子實踐

在這一部分中,我們為學生提供了在硬體和軟體方面練習各種電子元件的機會。學生需要根據技術要求,通過考慮尺寸、引線數、功耗、現場工作條件和成本來選擇基本的電子元件。

此外,他們需要使用基本的測試儀器,如實驗室直流電源、數位萬用表、示波器、函數發生器來對二極體、LED 和 NPN 晶體管進行測試。此外,他們可以使用焊料和Altium Designer 10軟體在SMT元件和印刷電路板(PCB)上工作。通過這個,學生應該獲得未來職業和學習的技術技能。

印表機 – 產品原型

3D列印是當今新興的電子技術之一。它是從數位模型製作三維實體物件的附加過程。在這個過程中,通過鋪設連續的材料層來創建物件,直到創建整個物件。

在本次培訓中,我們為學生提供了使用3D印表機進行練習的機會。他們需要首先使用 SolidWorks 軟體創建 3D 對象,然後以 STL 格式匯出實體模型。此外,他們還可以學習快速原型(RP)技術,並使用3D印表機創建原型。

虛擬儀器的實踐

我們不僅專注於硬體,還提供軟體培訓。在工業培訓 期間, 學生 可以學習 如何 使用 LabVIEW 軟體 中的 虛擬 儀器 來 採集、 分析 和 呈現 數據。

此外, 學生 需要實現 代碼 並自行調 試, 以便 在 LabVIEW 中 開發 模組 化 應用程式和建立 資料結構。通過這次培訓,我們希望學生能夠熟悉常見的電子軟體,併為未來的職業和學習做好準備。

微控制器設計

微控制器是電子設計中的一個重要因素。在工業培訓期間,學生可以學習微控制器中的基本電子元件以及它們在其中的功能。

此外,學生需要使用焊接技能在試驗板上構建電池供電和基於MCU的獨立系統。通過這個,我們希望學生能夠將他們在以前的學習中學到的知識一起構建一個電子原型板。

設置電腦網路

我們的培訓不僅包括電子部分,還包括電腦網路。在電腦網路部分,學生可以學習有關TCP / IP通信,各種網路元件,無線技術和低層網路安全的知識。

此外,學生還可以動手製作直通LAN電纜,在路由器上配置WAN,LAN和無線連接,使用特定工具獲取網路資訊並配置IP位址。通過這個學生可以學習基本的電腦網路知識,併為將來的學習提供實踐經驗。

Krutz Cheuk

After graduating from OUHK, Krutz obtained an M.Sc. in Engineering Management from CityU. He is now completing his second master degree, M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, at CUHK. Krutz has a wide range of working experience. He has been with Siemens, VTech, and PCCW.

Hugo Leung
Software and Hardware Engineer

Hugo Leung Wai-yin, who graduated from his four-year programme in 2015, won the Best Paper Award for his ‘intelligent pill-dispenser’ design at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering’s International Conference on Consumer Electronics – China 2015.

The pill-dispenser alerts patients via sound and LED flashes to pre-set dosage and time intervals. Unlike units currently on the market, Hugo’s design connects to any mobile phone globally. In explaining how it works, he said: ‘There are three layers in the portable pillbox. The lowest level is a controller with various devices which can be connected to mobile phones in remote locations. Patients are alerted by a sound alarm and flashes. Should they fail to follow their prescribed regime, data can be sent via SMS to relatives and friends for follow up.’ The pill-dispenser has four medicine slots, plus a back-up with a LED alert, topped by a 500ml water bottle. It took Hugo three months of research and coding to complete his design, but he feels it was worth all his time and effort.

Hugo’s public examination results were disappointing and he was at a loss about his future before enrolling at the OUHK, which he now realizes was a major turning point in his life. He is grateful for the OUHK’s learning environment, its industry links and the positive guidance and encouragement from his teachers. The University is now exploring the commercial potential of his design with a pharmaceutical company. He hopes that this will benefit the elderly and chronically ill, as well as the society at large.

Soon after completing his studies, Hugo joined an automation technology company as an assistant engineer. He is responsible for the design and development of automation devices. The target is to minimize human labor and increase the quality of products. He is developing products which are used in various sections, including healthcare, manufacturing and consumer electronics.
