HKMU swimmers claim three silver medals in USFHK Aquatic Meet

HKMU swimmers put their best stroke forward at the most recent Annual Aquatic Meet by the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong (USFHK) and were rewarded with encouraging results. The spotlight fell especially on Tsang Pak-ho, who came second in two individual 50 metre races — Freestyle and Butterfly. He bagged a third silver medal with fellow teammates, Chow King-him, Ma Wing-sum and Phoebe Cheuk Yuet-ying, in the Mixed 4 x 50 metre Freestyle Relay. Overall, the HKMU Swimming Team ranked sixth out of 12 university teams, with the boys' and girls' teams placed sixth and seventh respectively....

HKMU cricket team wins Plate Championship and ranked third in Joint University Tapeball Cricket Sixes

The HKMU cricket team, formed by 14 students from the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration (B&A) and the School of Science and Technology, competed in the Joint University Tapeball Cricket Sixes for the second time and entered the Plate Final after two exciting matches. In the end, the team knocked off the target and won the Plate Championship, standing in third place among eight local tertiary institutions....

HKMU sets up Hong Kong's first “Before I Die” message wall to promote life and death education

The Student Affairs Office of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) recently organised the “Portraits of the Elderly: Journey of Life Exhibition” on campus, aiming to promote life and death education through various creative activities, including the installation of Hong Kong's first ever “Before I Die” message wall and a “Photography Services for the Elderly” photo album. The aim of the exhibition was to encourage the participants to reflect on the value and importance of life while raising awareness about the welfare of the elderly. The four-day event received a positive response, attracting nearly 400 students and staff....
