Staff papers win recognition at major creative writing conference

Two faculty members of the School of Arts and Social Sciences won awards for papers they presented at the ninth Annual Conference of Chinese Creative Writing, one of the largest academic conferences on Chinese-language creative writing in China. Dr Shawn Shao Dong, Acting Head of Creative Arts and Assistant Professor, received a First-Class Award for a piece analysing the narrative in Black Myth: Wukongm, an action role-playing game adapted from the classic novel Journey to the West, while Assistant Professor Dr Benson Tong Tsz-ben's discussion of Chinese communication under the lens of creative writing was recognised with a Second-Class Award....

The Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture (the Centre) at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) distinguished itself in the 7th National College Student Art Exhibition and Performance, winning the “First Class Award for Outstanding Cases of Innovative Reforms in Aesthetic Education in Higher Education Institutions”.
