In collaboration with YGH, internship opportunities in Guangzhou will be offered to HKMU students this summer. HKMU students will have the opportunity to participate in internship programmes offered by more than 300 corporations in various industries in Guangzhou, including Yuexiu Group, Guangzhou Broadcasting Network, Clifford Group, GAC Group, and China State Construction International Investments Limited, with the aim of advancing their knowledge and exposure for career development in the Mainland. Visits to universities and corporates in Guangzhou, as well as meetings with local students, will also be organized during students' stay in Guangzhou to foster cultural exchange between the two cities.
HKMU Vice President (Research and Student Development) Prof. Ricky Kwok noted that while pursuing a wide range of careers, students are often not sure about their desired career path. Through diverse practical experience, the students can gain a better understanding of both themselves and their career aspirations.
YGH Chairman Mr. K.M. Fok highlighted that students can explore more opportunities through internships and study tours to Guangzhou. They can have a better understanding of market demand and career prospects in different industries in Guangzhou. This is aligned with HKMU’s mission and vision of equipping students with soft skills and professional knowledge required in the workplace, thereby preparing them for social integration.
