Details:
Five Master’s students in Creative Writing have been recognised for their achievements in several literary and arts competitions.
Shi Yuang won the Gold Award for Best Young Science Fiction Writer at the 2024 Stars Award (2024年度星辰獎) for 〈一本古籍的翻譯工作〉 (“Translation of an Ancient Book”). Huang Xianjin earned Second Prize for his poem 〈草堂,或漫遊者獨白〉(“Thatched Cottage, or A Wanderer’s Monologue”) at the tenth China Handan Tertiary Students Poetry Festival (中國·邯鄲大學生詩歌節). He received the Main Prize for another of his works, 《唐詩閱讀筆記(組詩)》 (“Reading Notes on Tang Poems (serial poem)”), at the inaugural Chinese University Students Poetry Competition (你好青春·華語大學生詩歌大賽). He was also honoured with the Campus Poetry Award (校園詩歌獎) at the 32nd Rougang Poetry Award (第32屆柔剛詩歌獎).
Shi Yiqing showcased her illustration “Tears of Sika Deer” at the 2024 International Youth Art Competition “PER LE VENEZIE”, winning Second Prize. At the 51st Youth Literary Awards, Li Chenxiang received the Merit Award in Flash Fiction (Open Group) for her short story 〈第一人稱〉 (“First Person”), and Feng Wenbin earned the Merit Award in Fiction (Senior Group) for his work 〈如珠〉 (“Like Pearls”).
