Introduction

Scholarships and awards are available to recognise students who have outstanding achievements, and to enable them to realise their aspirations and to explore the world. The sources are from donation by private organisations, firms and individuals, the HKSAR Government and the University. Nominees are selected by application, by nomination or by both. No application is required for schemes that nominees are selected by nomination only.

Students' academic merits and other achievements, including but not limited to service and leadership, will be assessed and recognised. Students who have obtained “Fail” grade (including but not limited to University’s Core Values Modules) or have been granted “deferment of an examination” in the assessment period will not be considered for nomination. Records of CGPA and grades would be based on the official transcript of studies generated by the University at the time of scholarship assessment.

The University’s Student Financial Awards Committee (SFAC) is responsible for overseeing the administration and implementation of these scholarship schemes. Nominations should be endorsed or approved by the SFAC or its delegated party(ies). Final approval by the donors is required for some schemes.
