Career Booster Programme

Introduction & Objectives

Career Booster Programme is a new career education initiative launched by the SAO with the aims of enhancing students' career awareness and readiness. The programme consists of the following training series, including

Programme Objectives Types of activities

(1) Career Exploration Series

To enhance your awareness and understandings of own personal values and qualities

To assist you in identifying your career directions and interests, as well as to explore your  career options and pathways

  • Recruitment talks
  • Company visits
  • Industry sharings

(2) Career Preparation Series

To equip you with essential job hunting skills, professional job search ethics and workplace ethics for future career success

  • Career preparatory trainings
  • Career advisory

(3) Future Skills Training Series

To help you build and develop in-demand future-proof skills for the ever-changing job market

  • Future skills trainings
  • E-resources (Graduates First)


All full-time undergraduate students from all disciplines and years

Programme Details

By joining this programme, participating students are required to join at least ONE (1) activity in each of the training series with satisfactory performance, i.e. you will need to attend at least 1 activity in the Career Exploration Series, Career Preparation Series, AND Future Skills Training Series.

Upon fulfillment of the above programme requirements, you will be awarded with (1) an official certificate of programme completion by end of AY2023/24; and (2) a higher priority in the below popular career programmes and/or activities organized by SAO Career Development and Entrepreneurship team. Examples include

  • SAO job nominations for the HKSAR Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme
  • HKMU Summer Internship Programme 2024
  • Overseas career exploration trips
  • Overseas internship programmes

The higher the participation, the higher the priority you will be placed in selection process of the above competitive career programmes and activities.
