About Office of Planning and Analysis (OPA)

The Office coordinates and facilitates the use of data by the management, Schools, Offices and other stakeholders in the planning, analysis and decision making processes. At the backend of these activities is a repository of data linking up with data sources from different operations within the University. Through the repository, we develop different analytic modules to support the services.

The Team is also responsible for developing a system of performance indicators and performance measures, as a tool to evaluate how we as a university performs. We also prepare analytics tools for benchmarking with other institutions, both local and international.

Planning and Analysis

One of the initiatives of the Office is to develop an intelligent analytics platform to provide dashboards for faculty and staff to visualize the data and assist them in decision making.

So far, the platform has the following features:

Student admission analysis to predict candidates who are more likely to accept the University's offer
Early identification of students potentially at risk with automatic alerts for faculty and staff
Performance analysis of course/programmes
