HKMU 36^th Congregation: President encourages graduates to become responsible citizens with leadership qualities

The first day of the 36^th Congregation of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) was held on 21 July. In his address, HKMU President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing congratulated the graduates on their success in completing their studies and encouraged them to step confidently into the world as capable leaders, competent professionals and responsible citizens of our community. Student innovative project wins the YDC Best Potential Startup and Innovation Award

Computer Engineering student Li Yanpei teamed up with a student from Hong Kong Baptist University to participate in the YDC Dare to Change Business Pitch Competition, organised by the Young Entrepreneurs Development Council (YDC). Their project, “WeGreen AI”, won the YDC Best Potential Startup and Innovation Award, earning them HK$15,000 in recognition of their efforts....

The Hong Kong Mathematics Education Conference 2025 (HKMEC 2025), co-organised by the School of Education and Languages (the School) of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and the Hong Kong Association for Mathematics Education (HKAME), was successfully held on 13 June at the HKMU Jockey Club Campus. HKMU's JUPAS Band A applications surge by 21%, reflecting its growing popularity and recognition driven by professional and practical programmes

The final modification period for the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) concluded last Saturday (19 July). Following the release of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) results, applications for Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) programmes listed as the top three choices (Band A) have increased for the fourth consecutive year, reaching nearly 18,000, a significant 21% rise compared to that of last year. The number of both applicants and applications for HKMU programmes surged by 10%, reflecting the University's growing recognition and popularity among students and educators....
