HKMU School of Education and Languages co-organises conference to shape the future of mathematics education

The Hong Kong Mathematics Education Conference 2025 (HKMEC 2025), co-organised by the School of Education and Languages (the School) of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and the Hong Kong Association for Mathematics Education (HKAME), was successfully held on 13 June at the HKMU Jockey Club Campus. Under the theme “Embracing the Journey of Innovation in Mathematics Education”, this year's conference was held in hybrid mode for the first time, bringing together over 240 educators from local and overseas tertiary institutions, secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens to share their dedication to driving innovation and excellence in mathematics teaching and learning....

HKMU Chamber Orchestra launches inaugural performance, showcasing the University's commitment to promoting arts and cultural development

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is committed to fostering the holistic development of its students, encouraging them to pursue diverse interests alongside their academic studies. The Hong Kong Metropolitan University Chamber Orchestra, a student group under the Student Affairs Office, was officially launched and presented its inaugural Annual Showcase on 27 June. HKMU joins UAS Alliance Delegation to Guangzhou and Shenzhen to strengthen collaboration

On 24 and 25 June, Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing, President of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), and Prof. Alan Au Kai-ming, Vice President (Strategic Initiatives), participated in a delegation from the Alliance of Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS Alliance) to Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) successfully hosted its annual “HKMU Homecoming Day 2025” on 7 June (Saturday).
