Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) held a flag-raising ceremony on campus this morning to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. HKMU welcomes LegCo approval of a HK$1.3 billion loan for new campus development

In the latest round of the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector of the Research Grants Council (RGC), Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) secured over HK$33.42 million for 47 projects, amounting to over 37.1% of the total RGC allocation. Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) has been granted 1,891 subsidised places across 21 programmes for the 2026/27 academic year under the latest round of the Education Bureau (EDB)'s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) for undergraduate programmes.
