HKMU School of Education and Languages hosts Symposium on Language Development in Chinese-speaking Populations with Special Needs

The Research Institute for Bilingual Learning and Teaching (RIBiLT), under the School of Education and Languages (E&L) at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), successfully hosted the Symposium on Language Development in Chinese-speaking Populations with Special Needs on 1-2 August. The aim of the symposium was to advance scholarly understanding, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote effective interventions to support the language development of Chinese-speaking individuals with special needs. Conducted in a hybrid online-offline format, the symposium attracted over 130 participants, including experts, scholars and members of the public....

HKMU School of Education and Languages co-organises conference to shape the future of mathematics education

The Hong Kong Mathematics Education Conference 2025 (HKMEC 2025), co-organised by the School of Education and Languages (the School) of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and the Hong Kong Association for Mathematics Education (HKAME), was successfully held on 13 June at the HKMU Jockey Club Campus. HKMU outstanding prospective teachers recognised with accolades

Thirteen students from the School of Education and Languages (E&L) and one student from the Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education (LiPACE) were honoured for their exceptional teaching skills and passion for education at the 12th Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award. Among them, So Yuk-yu and Chang Sin received the prestigious Gold Award, and Long Wanting, Lo Man-ling, Wong Yuet-sze and Xie Peishan earned the Silver Award. Stephy Wong Yuk-yan and Siu Chi-fung were recognised with the Bronze Award, and Lin Yan-yi, Wendy Susana Chau Zhong, Chan Yui-pui, Poon Yin-ting and Lau Ching-yan received the Merit Award....
