Champion, Men’s 100m, the 61st USFHK Annual Athletic Meet
HKMU sent 11 representatives from its taekwondo team to participate in the Taekwondo Competition 2022-23 organised by The University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (USFHK). Among them, sports and recreation management student Wong Tsz-hin and physiotherapy student Wong Shuk-han won the first prize in the Men’s Black Belt (under 80kg) and the Women’s Black Belt (under 49kg) categories respectively. Striving for the best in the competitions, the HKMU team won the 3rd runner-up prize in both the men’s and women’s team championships and was ranked 5th overall.
In the 61st USFHK Annual Athletic Meet, physiotherapy student Cheng Cheung-hung performed well in the Men’s 100m final and won the gold medal with a personal best time of 10.8 seconds.
