工业培训

工业培训是电子和计算机工程二年级学生的必修课。它强调补充该计划其他课程所涵盖的理论的实践经验。

学生需要在第一个夏季学期参加电子实验室和计算机实验室的140小时内部实践培训。培训课程涵盖工业安全、电子测试方法、构建电子电路、印刷电路板 (PCB) 的设计和制造、微控制器应用、虚拟仪器、产品原型、计算机辅助设计和制造 (CAD / CAM) 以及计算机网络设置等主题。

安全培训

工作场所可能非常危险,尤其是对于电子和计算机工程师而言。因为他们每天都需要处理各种机器。不当行为或安全意识低下会导致事故,并导致无法弥补的伤害。

在工业培训方面,我们为学生提供安全培训。告诉他们工作场所健康和安全对工人和公众的重要性,导致危害的关键因素,他们需要遵守的安全法律和标准,以及他们应该采取的安全措施,以防止工作中的危险。

课程结束后,学生应了解工程实践的基本职业健康和工业安全要求。

电子实践

在这一部分中,我们为学生提供了在硬件和软件方面练习各种电子组件的机会。学生需要根据技术要求,通过考虑尺寸、引线数、功耗、现场工作条件和成本来选择基本的电子组件。

此外,他们需要使用基本的测试仪器,如实验室直流电源、数字万用表、示波器、函数发生器来对二极管、LED 和 NPN 晶体管进行测试。此外,他们可以使用焊料和Altium Designer 10软件在SMT组件和印刷电路板(PCB)上工作。通过这个,学生应该获得未来职业和学习的技术技能。

打印机 – 产品原型

3D打印是当今新兴的电子技术之一。它是从数字模型制作三维实体对象的附加过程。在这个过程中,通过铺设连续的材料层来创建物件,直到创建整个物件。

在本次培训中,我们为学生提供了使用3D打印机进行练习的机会。他们需要首先使用 SolidWorks 软件创建 3D 对象,然后以 STL 格式导出实体模型。此外,他们还可以学习快速原型(RP)技术,并使用3D打印机创建原型。

虚拟仪器的实践

我们不仅专注于硬件,还提供软件培训。在工业培训 期间, 学生 可以学习 如何 使用 LabVIEW 软件 中的 虚拟 仪器 来 采集、 分析 和 呈现 数据。

此外, 学生 需要实现 代码 并自行调 试, 以便 在 LabVIEW 中 开发 模块 化 应用程序和建立 数据结构。通过这次培训,我们希望学生能够熟悉常见的电子软件,并为未来的职业和学习做好准备。

微控制器设计

微控制器是电子设计中的一个重要因素。在工业培训期间,学生可以学习微控制器中的基本电子组件以及它们在其中的功能。

此外,学生需要使用焊接技能在试验板上构建电池供电和基于MCU的独立系统。通过这个,我们希望学生能够将他们在以前的学习中学到的知识一起构建一个电子原型板。

设置计算机网络

我们的培训不仅包括电子部分,还包括计算机网络。在计算机网络部分,学生可以学习有关TCP / IP通信,各种网络组件,无线技术和低层网络安全的知识。

此外,学生还可以动手制作直通LAN电缆,在路由器上配置WAN,LAN和无线连接,使用特定工具获取网络信息并配置IP地址。通过这个学生可以学习基本的计算机网络知识,并为将来的学习提供实践经验。

After graduating from OUHK, Krutz obtained an M.Sc. in Engineering Management from CityU. He is now completing his second master degree, M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, at CUHK. Krutz has a wide range of working experience. He has been with Siemens, VTech, and PCCW.

Hugo Leung

Hugo Leung Wai-yin, who graduated from his four-year programme in 2015, won the Best Paper Award for his ‘intelligent pill-dispenser’ design at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering’s International Conference on Consumer Electronics – China 2015.

The pill-dispenser alerts patients via sound and LED flashes to pre-set dosage and time intervals. Unlike units currently on the market, Hugo’s design connects to any mobile phone globally. In explaining how it works, he said: ‘There are three layers in the portable pillbox. The lowest level is a controller with various devices which can be connected to mobile phones in remote locations. Patients are alerted by a sound alarm and flashes. Should they fail to follow their prescribed regime, data can be sent via SMS to relatives and friends for follow up.’ The pill-dispenser has four medicine slots, plus a back-up with a LED alert, topped by a 500ml water bottle. It took Hugo three months of research and coding to complete his design, but he feels it was worth all his time and effort.

Hugo’s public examination results were disappointing and he was at a loss about his future before enrolling at the OUHK, which he now realizes was a major turning point in his life. He is grateful for the OUHK’s learning environment, its industry links and the positive guidance and encouragement from his teachers. The University is now exploring the commercial potential of his design with a pharmaceutical company. He hopes that this will benefit the elderly and chronically ill, as well as the society at large.

Soon after completing his studies, Hugo joined an automation technology company as an assistant engineer. He is responsible for the design and development of automation devices. The target is to minimize human labor and increase the quality of products. He is developing products which are used in various sections, including healthcare, manufacturing and consumer electronics.
