Hong Kong Metropolitan University launched its ChatGPT Web Portals for students, staff and tutors in August 2023. The portal is designed to support various aspects of teaching, learning, research and university operations.
In mid-February 2026, the portal will undergo major updates, including a model upgrade to GPT-5.1 and GPT-5-mini, image-to-image generation and CV review functionalities. Students and staff are encouraged to utilize the portal to enhance their academic pursuits and streamline their daily tasks.
To help users make the most of these powerful tools, ITO will be hosting a series of ChatGPT training workshops in March 2026. Stay tuned for more details!
