Study Tours

To broaden students' horizons, deepen their understanding of global educational practices, and cultivate cultural appreciation, the School of Education and Languages organizes a diverse range of study tours each year. These tours offer students the opportunity to attend themed classes at overseas universities, engage with local education systems through school visits, explore cultural landmarks, and participate in workshops that highlight the history and traditions of the host country. Some tours may also include internship placements, allowing students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings.

To encourage wider participation and reduce financial barriers, the School provides partial funding support to eligible students, subject to the availability of resources.

Online Application

  • Students are responsible for ensuring that participation in the E&L Study Tours does not conflict with their practicum and/or Spring/Summer term courses arrangement (if any). Please note that joining the Study Tours does not exempt students from the attendance requirements of their practicum/classes.
  • Students should check and confirm whether they need to apply for any entry visa to the destinations of the tours before applying. Students will bear all committed fees by HKMU, the partner institutions, or organisations if they cannot apply for or receive the required entry visa before the tour commences.
  • An eligible E&L student can only receive the sponsorship provided by the University or the School of Education and Languages ONCE in each academic year, regardless of the total number of study tours that they finally join.
  • Each student should submit the application only once. If more than one application is received, only the latest one will be processed.
  • Please ensure that your travel document (e.g., passport) is valid for at least six months from the date of departure. Failure to meet this requirement may result in ineligibility to join the tour, even if you have been selected and/or have already paid the tour fees.
