Extending Horizons in Post-Secondary Education

HKMU's strengths and experiences

Advisory Peer Groups are set up with industry participation to ensure that the programmes are recognised by industry and the professions, and to provide students with abundant training and internship opportunities.

Connected to industry

This is fully implemented in all programmes and courses, with a robust review of intended learning outcomes.

Outcome-based education

HKMU campuses are equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and are being actively expanded, with a plan to build a new campus on a slope site in Ho Man Tin.

Enhanced campus facilities

HKMU is the only self-financed university in Hong Kong granted self-accrediting status. It has effective quality assurance mechanisms and measures to support programme development, delivery and evaluation.

Stringent quality assurance system

The B.A (Hons) in Integrated Testing, Inspection and Certification programme, and the B.A. of Business Administration (Hons) in Sports and Recreation Management programme have been included in the EDB's Pilot Project on the Development of Applied Degree Programmes.

Extensive experience in programme development
