企业运算深造证书及多媒体与互联网科技深造证书及互联网科技及应用深造文凭及资讯科技与互联网应用理学硕士课程规例


1. 一般规例

1.1

本规例乃根据《深造学位颁授规例》第一至四段和《深造文凭及证书颁授规例》第一至四段制定

1.2

《深造学位颁授规例》及《深造文凭及证书颁授规例》及《教务规例》内词汇释义所采用的定义同时适用于本规例。

1.3

《转换深造学术资格规例》适用于企业运算深造证书多媒体与互联网科技深造证书互联网科技及应用深造文凭转换至信息科技与互联网应用理学硕士

 

2. 入学条件

2.1

攻读多媒体与互联网科技深造证书或互联网科技及应用深造文凭或信息科技与互联网应用理学硕士课程者,一般须符合下列要求:

 

2.1.1

持有认可的计算机学或相关领域的学士学位 (参照表一注1),或等同的学历;或

 

2.1.2

持有认可的数学、科学或工程学的学士学位并副修计算机学或相关领域(参照表一注1),或等同的学历;

 

2.1.3

持有认可的数学、科学或工程学的学士学位,并具备一年与信息科技有关的工作经验;或

 

2.1.4

持有任何的学士学位,并具备至少五年与信息科技有关的督导工作经验;或

 

2.1.5

持有等同本大学颁授的信息科技深造证书的资格。

 
3. 多媒体与互联网科技深造证书 (见注4)

3.1

学生必须符合下列规定,方可获考虑颁授多媒体与互联网科技深造证书

 

3.1.1

符合《入学、注册及学籍规例》所载的规定;及

 

3.1.2

符合《深造文凭及证书颁授规例》所载的规定;及

 

3.1.3

按有关深造证书课程规例修毕指定的深造程度科目,取得至少20学分。

 

3.2

按大学规定,修读多媒体与互联网科技深造证书课程,学生必须:

 

3.2.1

修毕表一CM类别的必修科目,取得10学分;及

 

3.2.2

选修表一IE类别的科目,取得10学分。

 
4. 互联网科技及应用深造文凭 (见注4)

4.1

学生必须符合下列规定,方可获考虑颁授互联网科技及应用深造文凭

 

4.1.1

符合《入学、注册及学籍规例》所载的规定;及

 

4.1.2

符合《深造文凭及证书颁授规例》所载的规定;及

 

4.1.3

按有关深造文凭课程规例修毕指定的深造程度科目,取得至少40学分。

 

4.2

按大学规定,修读互联网科技及应用深造文凭课程,学生必须:

 

4.2.1

修毕表一PD类别的必修科目,取得40学分。

 

5.

信息科技与互联网应用理学硕士课程 (见注4)

5.1

学生必须符合下列规定,方可获考虑颁授信息科技与互联网应用理学硕士学位:

 

5.1.1

符合《入学、注册及学籍规例》所载的规定;及

 

5.1.2

符合《深造学位颁授规例》所载的规定;及

 

5.1.3

按有关硕士课程规例修毕指定的深造程度科目,取得至少60学分。

5.2

按大学规定,修读信息科技与互联网应用理学硕士课程,学生必须选修表一所列的科目,取得60学分;其中至少20学分须选自IA或PJ类别的科目 。

  2. 选修 COMP S890 的学生,必须先修毕表一IA类别的科目,取得30学分。

  3. 此等科目现已停办。
     
  4. 多媒体与互联网科技深造证书互联网科技及应用深造文凭信息科技与互联网应用理学硕士课程已于二○一八年秋季学期停办。上述课程的最后颁授期为二○二三年秋季学期。

Hugo Leung Wai-yin, who graduated from his four-year programme in 2015, won the Best Paper Award for his ‘intelligent pill-dispenser’ design at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering’s International Conference on Consumer Electronics – China 2015.

The pill-dispenser alerts patients via sound and LED flashes to pre-set dosage and time intervals. Unlike units currently on the market, Hugo’s design connects to any mobile phone globally. In explaining how it works, he said: ‘There are three layers in the portable pillbox. The lowest level is a controller with various devices which can be connected to mobile phones in remote locations. Patients are alerted by a sound alarm and flashes. Should they fail to follow their prescribed regime, data can be sent via SMS to relatives and friends for follow up.’ The pill-dispenser has four medicine slots, plus a back-up with a LED alert, topped by a 500ml water bottle. It took Hugo three months of research and coding to complete his design, but he feels it was worth all his time and effort.

Hugo’s public examination results were disappointing and he was at a loss about his future before enrolling at the OUHK, which he now realizes was a major turning point in his life. He is grateful for the OUHK’s learning environment, its industry links and the positive guidance and encouragement from his teachers. The University is now exploring the commercial potential of his design with a pharmaceutical company. He hopes that this will benefit the elderly and chronically ill, as well as the society at large.

Soon after completing his studies, Hugo joined an automation technology company as an assistant engineer. He is responsible for the design and development of automation devices. The target is to minimize human labor and increase the quality of products. He is developing products which are used in various sections, including healthcare, manufacturing and consumer electronics.
