Dr Gary Tsang and Dr Man-fung Kwong recently led students from the A&SS programs—including Chinese, English, Translation, Social Sciences, and Creative Writing—on a cultural exchange tour to Kansai, Japan, in June. During the trip, they visited historical and cultural landmarks in Nara and Kyoto. In addition, the students had the unique opportunity to engage in meaningful exchanges with professors and students from Kyoto University and Doshisha University, including attending classes alongside Japanese students.
One of the key highlights of the trip was a two-day visit to the World Expo 2025. The students explored various pavilions, gaining valuable insights into the cultures and technological advancements of different countries. This experience also encouraged them to reflect on the interconnected relationships between technology, natural ecosystems, and societal development.
