Alumni as members

Learn about the types of membership and register as HKMUAA members to enjoy exclusive privileges!

Honorary Member / Life Member: Graduates who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and made significant contributions to the University may be nominated for Honorary or Life Membership in the HKMUAA, subject to approval by the Board of Directors of HKMUAA.
Ordinary Member: Graduates of any credit-bearing programmes offered at University proper are eligible to join as Ordinary Members of HKMUAA.
Associate Member: Alumni who have obtained at least three credits from any University proper programmes and currently not studying in HKMU can apply to join as Associate Members of HKMUAA.
Affiliated Member: Local alumni groups which desire to adopt the title of Hong Kong Metropolitan University must apply to join HKMUAA as Affiliated Members. For more details, please check the section on Affiliated Member.
Membership fee: Membership fee of Ordinary Member and Associate Member in this year will be HK$100 and there is no membership fee for Honorary Member, Life Member and Affiliated Member. A membership fee waiver is on offer from now until 31 December 2027.

How to activate HKMUAA membership card

Just a few simple steps to activate the membership card:

1. After downloading HKMU Alumni+, go to the login page and click ‘Register’

If you are located outside of Hong Kong, we may not provide services to you or you may encounter difficulties accessing this mobile application.

2. Fill in your personal particulars and phone number or email address

3. After receiving a one-time password via SMS, set your password to finish the activation

4. After successful activation, HKMUAA membership card will be displayed within the HKMU Alumni+
