About the Conference

The “International Conference on Enhancing Lifelong Education and Building Learning Societies through Digitalization” (CELEBLS) aims to provide a high-level academic platform to explore the challenges and opportunities in education brought about by globalisation and technological changes. It seeks to explore innovative pathways and practical models for open education and lifelong learning in the age of intelligence. It is organized by Guangdong Open University and the School of Open Learning, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. The main purposes of the conference include:

1. Exploring Technology-driven Educational Transformation

How digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and metaverse are reshaping the forms and content of education, helping learners achieve personalised, flexible, and lifelong learning goals.

2. Inspiring Future Thinking in Educational Innovation

The future directions of education in the intelligent era, inspiring new educational concepts and models to provide innovative solutions for global education challenges.

3. Sharing Best Practices and Innovative Achievements

The latest research findings, technological applications, and successful case studies in the field of open education and lifelong learning worldwide, providing inspiration and reference for educational institutions, businesses, and learners.

4. Promoting International Exchange and Collaboration

Academic exchanges of educational experts, policymakers, technology innovators, and practitioners to discuss global trends in open education and lifelong learning, fostering cross-cultural exchanges and cooperation from an international perspective.

This conference will serve as a high-level platform that integrates academic insights and practical approaches, technology and education, to jointly advance the development of open education and lifelong learning. It aims to support and facilitate advancement in the global transition toward a more intelligent, open, and inclusive new era of education.
