It is my pleasure to welcome you to our Website. We appreciate your visit and
hope that you will get to know more about us and what LiPACE can offer to
learners like yourself.
As a trusted provider of full-time post-secondary (further) education and part-time programmes, LiPACE is committed to serving the needs of learners from all walks of life. Our students include senior secondary graduates, working professionals, corporate employees, non-profit and public sector clients. The School's full-time Higher Diploma and Diploma programmes cover a wide range of subject areas. Students in these programmes come from diverse backgrounds including Hong Kong, ethnic minorities & other nationalities in HK, and from different provinces and autonomous regions in mainland China. Established as a Centre in 1992 and retitled as an academic School of the Hong Kong Metropolitan University in 2020, we have stayed true to our founding mission of serving the broadest constituency of learners and shall continue to work towards becoming your preferred “Lifelong Learning Partner”.
Our programmes have over the years carved out a niche of their own. LiPACE's
Diploma of Applied Education (DAE) programme offers a wide choice of elective
courses that are in tune with developments in the service sector (e.g.
environmental management to be introduced in 2026/27). The Higher Diploma
offerings in LiPACE are equally diverse, ranging from high demand programmes in
Health Care to areas at the interface with new technology and specialized
services such as Digital Business Practice, Health and Molecular Testing and Pet
Care. Meanwhile, our part-time programmes have continued to serve occupational
areas requiring staff training and retraining, such as OSH, tree management,
property management. They also appeal to special interest areas such as
community museum management and cultural relics and East – West cultural
exchange. We shall follow the same pioneering spirit while developing new
professional qualifications that ride on the trends of the creative, digital and
experiential economies as well as meeting specialized areas of human service
needs.
Launched in 2009, our Elder Academy and its IT learning courses both continue to
play leading roles in addressing the learning needs of senior citizens in the
community. Through them, we help to fulfill our University's social mission to
reach out to the community.
As we look forward to celebrating the 35th anniversary of the School's
establishment in 2027, I hope that you will join us soon to start your learning
journey and become a member of the LiPACE learning community.
