Another Triple Gold Award for HKMU in Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme in 2022-2023
Hong Kong Metropolitan University’s website has received a Triple Gold Award at the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme. Since 2018, the scheme has been organized by The Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited, co-organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information , with the Equal Opportunities Commission as the independent advisor. It aims to recognize outstanding enterprises, organizations and individuals who have adopted accessibility design in their websites and mobile applications.
Triple Gold Award for HKMU in Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme
The HKMU has won the 'Triple Gold Award' for the second time at the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2016, jointly organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Equal Opportunities Commission. The award was granted to the University for attaining the Scheme's Gold Standard in the past three years. Dr Simon Cheung, Director of the Information Technology Unit, accepted the award at a ceremony held on 19 April.
HKMU Information Technology Unit selected for CIO Asia Awards 2016 Honouree for IT excellence
The CIO 100 and Awards programme is an annual event organised by CIO Asia, a leading publication for IT Executives in the region. Nominations for the programme were received from all over Asia, including Hong Kong, Singapore, China, India, and Australia and ranged from small organisations to large multinational corporations, non-profit organisations, and private and public business enterprises. The CIO Awards are awarded to the top five organisations from the CIO 100 honorees that have yielded the greatest operational and strategic value from the use of IT in the past year. OU is selected for CIO Asia Awards 2016 Honouree for IT excellence.
