Biography
Mr. Tang graduated from McMaster University, Hamilton, ONT, Canada, with Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering, in 1987; then, he was awarded with Master of Science in Computer Science (1996) and Master of Science in E-Commerce (2006), from City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University respectively.
Mr. Tang has worked in the IT industry for over 30 years, his IT experiences covered hardware, software, maintenance, system development and administration, customer support service, etc. In the period, Yr.1987 – Yr.1992, Mr. Tang was working in Philips HK Limited and Digital HK Limited with duties: hardware maintenance on banking terminals, UNIX installation, PABX controller, Document Management System – DMS, Interactive Learning System, etc. In 1992, Mr. Tang was employed as System Analyst in SkyTel HK Limited, an international paging company, with main duties on daily system operations and technical support to the local paging companies who needed the international paging services.
Mr. Tang has been working in OUHK (former OLI) since 1996, his main duties are: Computer Center Operations, Information Security, Student and Staff Computer Support, Student Hotline Services, etc.
