A&SS Teachers and Students Participate in Chinese Culture Festival 2025 to Watch the Drama "Four Generations Under One Roof"

Teachers and students from the Department of Creative Arts participated in the “Chinese Culture Festival 2025: National Theatre of China – Drama Four Generations Under One Roof”: Chinese Culture for All: A Special Performance Series on 3 July 2025. The event was co-organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Bauhinia Culture Group Co., Ltd. Dr. Rebecca Leung Mo-ling, Associate Dean (Administration and Development) of the A&SS, served as the coordinator for the event. She, along with 8 faculty members and 28 students from the Master of Arts in Creative Writing and the Master of Arts in Creative Industries and Cultural Assets programmes, participated in this activity.

The event was held at the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, included a programme introduction and an open rehearsal of selected scenes, offering participants an in-depth understanding of the drama adaptation of Lao She’s classic novel. They also had the opportunity to appreciate the outstanding direction of Tian Qinxin and the remarkable performances of renowned actors Duan Yihong and Tao Hong. This activity aimed to provide faculty and students with a first-hand experience of the essence of Chinese cultural arts, inspire creative ideas, and deepen their understanding of the intersection between literature and performing arts, offering valuable insights for future creative endeavors.
