Publications of the Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture Win Multiple Awards at the National Finals of the 10th Huacan EDA Award

Following the earlier achievement in which the Newsletter of Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture was awarded the “Best Brand Image Award” at the Hong Kong Designers Assocation BDA Brand Awards 2025, the Centre, in collaboration with its design partner On Your Mark Design Laboratory Limited, has once again earned widespread recognition. Several of its publications have won multiple prestigious awards at the 10th Huacan EDA Awards, an A+ national design competition, fully demonstrating the Centre's outstanding accomplishments in promoting Chinese culture and design excellence.
In the first phase Hong Kong regional round under the Young Designer Category, both the Newsletter of Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture and the Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture 5th Anniversary Special Issue received First Prize, while the cover design of the Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture 10th Anniversary Special Issue was awarded Second Prize. These results not only highlighted the exceptional design quality of the publications but also earned them qualification for the second phase national competition finals.
Subsequently, in the Visual and Spatial Design Young Designer Category of the national finals, the Newsletter of Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture advanced to the final round and clinched First Prize, while the Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture 5th Anniversary Special Issue and the cover design of the Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture 10th Anniversary Special Issue both received Third Prize. These honours reflect the publications' successful blend of tradition and innovation in design, as well as the Centre's remarkable achievements in cultural promotion and creative practice.
The Huacan EDA Award aims to discover and promote outstanding young design talent from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Open to young designers and university faculty and students, it evaluates entries primarily on innovation, style, and practicality, with the goal of identifying the most creative and promising emerging talents. The competition themed “Integration & Fusion”, also serves as an important platform for young designers across the four regions to exchange ideas and interact, thereby advancing the innovative development of Chinese design.
This latest success not only signifies another milestone in Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture's efforts in cultural dissemination, but its fresh and innovative publications will also help heighten public awareness and appreciation of Chinese culture.
