Paris and Annecy International Animation Festival Study Tour in France

Mr. Walter Wong, Mr. Vincent Mak, and Mr. Ray Ip led students from the Animation and Visual Effects Programme in the Department of Creative Arts on an 8-day study tour to Paris and the Annecy Animation Festival in France, from 11 to 18 June 2025. The tour included visits to Paris and Annecy, where participants attended the Annecy Animation Festival, one of the world's largest and most prestigious animation festivals. They explored a diverse range of animated films, from independent shorts to major studio productions, and toured renowned animation studio booths at the Annecy Animation Film Market (MIFA), gaining insights into cutting-edge techniques and industry trends. The students participated in the global premiere of the Hong Kong animated feature Another World, engaging with industry professionals to broaden their creative perspectives. In Paris, students visited iconic cultural landmarks, including the Louvre Museum and the Musée d'Orsay, where they explored world-class art collections, drawing inspiration from masterpieces that enriched their understanding of visual storytelling.
