Chinese Chess is a symbolic and engaging strategy board game. While it requires players’ strategic planning and persistence, it brings inspirational impacts to its player and can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages. On 3 December (Sunday), the Development and Alumni Affairs Office (DAAO) and the HKMU Alumni Association (HKMUAA) will join hands to co-organise the “Chinese Chess Fun Day”. Come meet the Chinese chess master and alumnus Mr Jet Chou Sai-kit who will deconstruct the chess strategy and share the inspiration brought by chess on how to change his life through chess, win various awards and be selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons.

The event will be held at the Ho Sik Yee Library on the Jockey Club Campus. There will be interactive games, mega chess board for playing and photo-taking, and a chess corner. Special highlight will be the Chess Simultaneous Exhibition where alumni are welcome to sign up to compete with Jet. There will be light refreshments and every participant will receive a special souvenir. The Library will open its door to participants during the event and a guided tour will be arranged.
