Learning and Teaching Evangelists (2023-2025)

 

The appointment of Learning and Teaching Evangelists (LTEs) is one of the highlights of the Learning and Teaching (L&T) Week. These LTEs play the role of champion to lead enhancement in teaching and learning to help our university to stay at the forefront in pedagogy and educational technologies. The LTEs are nominated by the Deans of Schools, and appointed by the Provost.

The term of LTE is two years. Each LTE will contribute to the following:

  • Disseminate and promulgate good practices for effective teaching among colleagues;
  • Observe, understand and collate colleagues' feedback on teaching difficulties and pedagogical needs, and then work with ALTO on designing, experimenting, and subsequently implementing fit-for-purpose pedagogical and technological solutions;
  • Work with ALTO to plan professional development programmes, run sharing sessions on good practices for teaching staff, and conduct pre-teaching courses to support new teaching staff; and
  • Arouse interest in conducting research and studies in innovative teaching through observations of practice.
