The V-Power 2025-26 Orientation Day was successfully held on October 26, 2025, with over 20 new and existing members participating. The event marked the beginning of volunteer services for the new academic year.

During the welcome session, Dr. Yeung Chi Hei, Dean of the School of Open Learning, delivered a welcome speech encouraging students to integrate volunteerism into their learning and daily lives. Following this, three award-winning senior members shared their memorable experiences and insights, deepening members’ understanding of the value and significance of volunteer service.

The Orientation Day also featured representatives from the Martha Boss Lutheran Community Centre, who introduced diverse community service programs and specific participation opportunities in the Ho Man Tin district. Additionally, the Agency for Volunteer Service was invited to host a “Human Library of Volunteers” session, which allowed team members to engage in face-to-face conversations with experienced volunteers and gain a deeper understanding of the profound meaning of volunteer service through their real-life stories.
