The “Hit the Bullseye: Recurve Bow Experiential Workshop” organised by the School of Open Learning, was successfully held on March 28, 2026. This event was designed to give students a first-hand experience of the charm of archery, helping them enhance their concentration and physical coordination while fostering resilience and composure.

During the session, participants learned the fundamentals of using a recurve bow, including proper shooting stances and techniques, under the guidance of a professional instructor. As they progressed from beginners to more confident shooters, the venue cheered each time an arrow struck the target, fostering an exciting atmosphere. Throughout the session, students supported each other and exchanged tips, building camaraderie while improving their skills.

To put their skills to the test, a group-based competition was arranged. During the competition, each group of shooters stayed focused and composed, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere. Cheers and applause from the sidelines further energised the atmosphere.

After the workshop, many students expressed that archery was both challenging and stress-relieving. It improved concentration and patience while helping them unwind. They expressed a strong interest in more diverse activities to continue enriching their campus life and strengthening their sense of belonging at HKMU.
