On 18 January 2026, the V-Power Volunteer Team collaborated with the Martha Boss Lutheran Community Centre to co-organise the “Trail Guardians — Ngong Ping Cleanup Action.” The team travelled to Ngong Ping in Ma On Shan to carry out a hillside cleanup, demonstrating their commitment to protecting the natural environment through hands-on action.

During the activity, V-Power members and community volunteers began from Ma On Shan Country Park, carefully clearing litter from shrubs and woodland along the trails. They collected discarded plastic bottles, snack wrappers, tissues, cigarette butts, and other waste. Along the way, the group encountered two pet parrots and were invited to interact with them—a pleasant and unexpected highlight of the trip.

Upon reaching Ngong Ping, participants split into small teams and searched through dense undergrowth and rock crevices to remove rubbish left by hikers and campers. After the cleanup, everyone paused on the grassland to admire the panoramic views and share reflections, contributing to environmental care while enjoying a peaceful moment in nature.

To conclude the day, the team transported all collected waste to a refuse station near Tai Shui Tseng in Sai Kung for proper disposal, bringing the cleanup initiative to a successful and meaningful close.
