The second “Pickleball Introductory Workshop”, organised by the School of Opening Learning, was successfully held on 18 October 2025. As one of the most popular emerging sports in recent years, this activity once again attracted enthusiastic participation from many students.

During the session, the instructor clearly explained the core techniques of pickleball and placed special emphasis on demonstrating commonly challenging aspects such as “grip and power” and “serve reception rhythm.” Through small-group coaching sessions, the instructor provided individualised guidance to help students refine their movements and elevate their skills. Additionally, interactive practice segments were organised to encourage peer learning; some experienced players offered tips to assist beginners in improving their skills. Finally, a group match was conducted, allowing students to experience the importance of teamwork in a competitive setting.

Many participants expressed appreciation for offering the workshop, which gave them a hands-on opportunity to try this trending sport. Beyond learning the basics, they also connected with like-minded peers. Several students voiced hope that the School would continue to organise similar sports workshops in the future, enriching campus cultural life and providing more opportunities to explore emerging sports.
