The 3rd V-Power Recognition Ceremony was held on 13 August 2025. This year, 30 members received the awards in recognition of their outstanding performance in volunteer service over the year. Family members and close friends of the members were invited to join the ceremony to witness the joy.
During the event, Dr. Lee Kam-cheong, Dean of the School of Open Learning, expressed his appreciation to students for their enthusiastic support of the School's activities over the past year. He encouraged them to continue making the most of their free time to enrich themselves and to put their knowledge into practice through community service. Dr. Yeung Chi-hei, Dean Designate of the School of Open Learning, also commended students for their dedication in serving diverse communities during their personal time. He shared his anticipation for their continued passion and active engagement in volunteer initiatives in the upcoming academic year.
Established in 2022, the V-Power Volunteer Team aims to provide relevant training and volunteer work opportunities for distance-learning and part-time students, enabling them to connect with other like-minded students and expand their social circle through volunteer activities.
