SDGs Thematic Activities in Hong Kong (Mar to May 2026)

Community Engagement Tour in Kuala Lumpur (Pre-departure trainings: Jun to July 2026; Tour: 3rd – 7th Aug 2026)
From Service to Synergy — Experiencing Inclusion in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur
Objective: Through the “3Cs – Collaboration, Contribution & City Exploration” tour, participants engage directly with local communities, breaking stereotypes and promoting inclusion.

*The tour is co-operated by SAO and our external community engagement partners; a series of pre-departure trainings will be provided (Please refer to Programme Schedule).
Programme fee (including accommodation, catering, local transportation) & Flight tickets
- With the sponsorship from the University, selected students are required to pay a total of HK$4,500 in mid-Feb 2026. This amount includes a non-refundable programme fee of HK$3,000 and a refundable deposit of HK$1,500, which covers round-trip airfare, accommodation (Note 1), simple meal expenses and local transportation expenses;
- Selected students may be nominated to some potential subsidies if applicable. More details will be provided to selected students in due course;
- The refundable deposit (HK$1,500) will normally be refunded to students within one month upon the successful completion of the programme, i.e. after the cultural booth in Sep or Oct 2026; and
- If students are absent from the programme activity without a valid reason, the refundable deposit (HK$1,500) will be forfeited and allocated to future student activities. Similarly, if students arrive more than 15 minutes late after the designated call time without a valid reason, the refundable deposit (HK$1,500) will be deducted on a pro-rata basis and used for future student activities.

Application fee for e-Visa
- For citizens of Hong Kong, visas are not required in general. [ONLY for holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport issued by the Hong Kong SAR of the People's Republic of China or British National Overseas (BNO) passport holders who possess right of abode in Hong Kong];
- For holders of other passports, please refer to the Malaysia government guidelines (click here), and please note the e-Visa application should be self-arranged by the participants.
