Life Education Ambassador Programme 2025/26

Programme Background

Life Education Ambassador Programme is a year-long student community engagement & service-learning programme organized by Student Affairs Office of HKMU. The Programme aims to enhance students' understanding and interest in life values, and equip students with life and emotional management skills. A group of passionate students will be recruited and will be given the chance to experience training sessions with the themes across “Life”, “Ageing”, “Illness”, and “Death”. Then, they will apply their learning through services for schools and the elderly. By designing and implementing their own exhibition project at the end of the programme, they will reflect on their whole learning journey, and unleash their potential to create a positive social impact.

Programme Content

Participate in a series of training activities organized by the Student Affairs Office, becoming a Life Education Ambassador and practicing life education.
Visit secondary schools and elderly neighborhood centers, engaging with youth and seniors through interactive games to explore the meaning of life together, share topics on life education, and assist in fostering a positive outlook on life.
Organize a life education exhibition to raise awareness among fellow students about life education, inspiring more people to cherish and respect life.

Learning Objectives

Develop students' civic & moral responsibility through community services or projects locally or globally with on-going guidance
Provide critical & structured reflection platforms to cultivate students' positive personality traits and personal development for self-actualization, such as integrity & ethics, empathy, self-management, forgiveness, gratitude, respectfulness, capacity to love or be loved and kindness
Foster students' self-understanding and nurture students' social awareness and intelligence from diverse and open-minded perspectives on different local and/or global issues
Empower students to create positive social impact and benefit the community according to their service interests and personal abilities beyond academic boundaries

Receive a certificate from SAO for full attendance, which will give priority to participate in a life education study tour to Taiwan in the summer of 2026.

Who can join

All full-time undergraduate students interested in life education are welcome to participate. As requested by service partner, Cantonese proficiency is required for this programme. To complete the programme, participants are required to attend all training sessions and services.

Service Period

Oct 2025 to Jun 2026

(The services are across the whole academic year)

Interview Arrangement

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a face-to-face interview between 16 to 19 Sep.
