The University presents a variety of prestigious admission scholarships to recognize academically outstanding and/or talented local and non-local undergraduate students. No separate application is required except the HKMU Admission Sports Scholarship. The University will directly inform the qualified students of the relevant scholarship awards.
A number of University-funded, donated and government scholarships are awarded to students demonstrating academic merit or non-academic achievements. In 2022/23, a remarkable 1,700 HKMU students received scholarships totalling over HK$34 million. For more details, please click here to view the list of awards and recipients.

Students who achieve 5* and 5** in any Category A subjects in the current year HKDSE examination and are admitted to HKMU degree programmes through the JUPAS scheme will be awarded HK$40,000 HKDSE Star Scholarship for each subject (Note 1).
Note 1: No separate application is required. The University will directly inform the qualified students of the relevant scholarship awards. There is no limit on the total amount awarded through the HKMU Admission Scholarship Scheme for HKDSE Star Students.
Full scholarships will be granted for 2024/25 Physiotherapy new students whose sum of scores in 3 HKDSE core subjects (Chinese, English and Mathematics) plus 2 best Elective subjects are 25 or above, with “Attained” in Citizenship and Social Development. (Note 1)
