OCA Resident Assistant Programme

The Resident Assistant Programme aims to recruit a group of enthusiastic senior Off-campus residents as assistants to support newly arrived residents, helping them adapt to Off-campus living and university life more comfortably in the capacity of senior peers.

The objectives of the Programme are:

Assist new Off-campus residents in adapting to their new environment as quickly as possible under the support of resident assistants;
Foster a sense of belonging among new students to Off-campus living and the university;
Offer advice and resources to Off-campus residents to help them navigate various challenges;
Promote a harmonious and inclusive environment for Off-campus living.

Residential Life Activities

Responsibility

Provide useful information and resources to residents, especially new students unfamiliar with Hong Kong, to help them adapt to the new environment and offer appropriate assistance.
Assist the Student Affairs Office in maintaining order in Off-campus accommodation, handling discipline, and emergencies.
Organize residential life activities to promote communication and interaction among residents.
Establish a positive and harmonious residential and living environment.

Eligibility

Currently enrolled full-time Non-local undergraduate students who intend to reside in Off-Campus accommodation Y83 for the 2025/26 academic year (Priority consideration will be given to students who have signed contracts with Y83 through the Student Affairs Office).
Demonstrates responsibility, attentiveness, and the ability to maintain a harmonious and positive Off-campus living atmosphere.
Excellent communication skills, proficiency in languages (including Cantonese, English, and Mandarin).
Outstanding interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and organizational capabilities.
