Diversity and Inclusion 101 Series

Student Affairs Office Diversity and Inclusion Diversity and Inclusion 101 Series

(The Diversity and Inclusion 101 Series is organized by the Student Affairs Office and supported by the Committee on Equal Opportunities.)

With the start of the new academic year, the Student Affairs Office is excited to launch the brand-new Diversity and Inclusion 101 Series (D&I 101 Series) to help you explore the essentials of diversity and inclusion (D&I).

🔍What is the 101 Series?

“101” is a term commonly used to describe an introductory-level learning experience. It's perfect for those who are new to a topic like diversity and inclusion.

The D&I 101 Series, taking place from September to October, will offer four different sessions designed to help you understand the fundamentals of D&I by exploring its key concepts and real-life applications. The series will kick off with an introductory workshop on what D&I is, followed by three sessions focusing on two core dimensions: (1) Racial Inclusion and (2) Special Educational Needs (SEN). After participating, you will gradually gain a deeper understanding of diversity and inclusion (D&I), gain insights into the diverse communities in Hong Kong, and learn to appreciate differences across cultures and backgrounds.
