“One Container, One Story” Drawing Competition

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the “One Container, One Story” Drawing Competition, organised by the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board and co-organised by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.
Under the theme “Hong Kong Sailing to the World,” the competition encourages students to portray, through drawing Hong Kong’s identity as an international port city, drawing from culture, lifestyles, stories and cityscape narratives through their own creative lens. Inspired by the theme “Sailing to the World”, the artworks should reflect the ideas of connection, exchange and movement, while presenting distinctive observations and creative perspectives of Hong Kong. Winning entries will have the remarkable opportunity to be featured on actual shipping containers and travel the world on ocean-going vessels.
Highlights of the Competition:    Winning entries will truly “step beyond the classroom”:
  • The champion artwork from each category will be enlarged and printed on a real 20-foot shipping container, sailing on international ocean-going routes.
  • Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, and Merit awards will receive cash prizes and trophies as a token of encouragement.
  • A “Most Active Participating School Award” will be presented to the school with the highest participation to commend the school’s support.
