Self-Assessment

Sometimes it’s hard to put a name to what you’re feeling, or to know whether your stress, low mood, or anxiety is something to watch more closely. The DASS-21 (Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales) is a simple, evidence-based self-assessment questionnaire that helps you gain insight into your current emotional state.

It asks about your experiences over the past week—such as feeling down, tense, or restless—and takes only a few minutes to complete. If you wish, our counsellors are here to talk through your results with you in a supportive, confidential space.

Stress

Moderate levels of stress can actually help us focus, boost productivity, and increase our energy levels.

Anxiety

Anxiety serves a purpose by engaging what is called the “Fight or Flight” response when we face a threat or danger. They help us to prepare for an upcoming situation.

Depression

Feeling depressed or sad is a basic emotion, meaning that it is an emotion experienced by everyone.

Loneliness

Feel as there is no one who you can turn to, spend time with or no one who truly understands you.
