The MU Global Citizenship Programme 2026 aims to cultivate a global mindset among students through a series of thematic and eye-opening activities addressing various global issues. The programme helps students gain a deeper understanding of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) identified by the United Nations (UN), while offering participants the opportunity to join a community engagement tour to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with partial programme fee sponsorship by the University.

During the tour, students will collaborate with local university students to exchange ideas on community engagement, learn Malaysian Sign Language, and participate in a drumming session with DeafBeat, an inspiring music group composed of deaf performers. Students will also design and facilitate service sessions for elderly individuals and children with special educational needs. In addition, they will explore cultural and heritage landmarks to gain insights into how diversity, inclusion, and sustainability shape the city. (2025 Programme Highlights: Click here)
